Days With Giants At Fight Fortress. We have been extremely lucky to have some of the greats in the Martial Arts and Fighting World grace us with their presence at Fight Fortress here in North Wales. The short talk above tells the stories of when Geoff Thompson, Peter Consterdine and Alfie Lewis all, at one time or another, took to our mats. These truly were Days With Giants.

So You Think You Know Fear? I learnt avoidance from a very early age, and it was a discovery fuelled by fear. Childlike punches and kicks, accompanied by spiteful spit, came my way from my classmates. And so, after months of enduring, I begged my father to let me move schools, and for a while there was peace. It didn’t last long.

Simon and the IRA. Some of you will know about Simon’s turbulent relationship with his father, Peter, and it largely stemmed from the man’s dishonesty and how he always seemed to put Simon in the firing line. In the early 2000s, Simon received a phone call that changed how he looked at his father, his life and his training.
