Surviving Being In The Middle Of The Storm Gave Me Stories To Tell

"This Story Needs To Be Everywhere," were the words of my interviewer on The Legacy Bench show, and that brought a very busy media week to a conclusion.

I am forever grateful to the people who give me the opportunity to speak on their shows, and over the last few weeks we have spoken on shows in Los Angeles, Utah, Manchester (England), and Milwaukee, with more shows planned in Liverpool, Ireland, and another American show (TBC).

It can be a struggle talking about the adversity I suffered. Beatings at the hands of bullies, thugs, and vagabonds took their place alongside the abuse, ridicule, and cruel control by my father. But what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and so retelling this history- these stories can also be rewarding, especially when you hear that they help others. Because at the end of the day, that is what we are supposed to do-help others.

I appeared on Mark Ross' Speak Your Truth show on Wednesday, and Mark is a man I instantly hit it off with. Warm, funny and respectful, I found Mark was a man I knew I would become friends with.
