The Legacy Bench, Simon’s Last Podcast for 2026 Simon’s latest podcast, aptly titled The Dark Truth About My Father and the Debt That Almost Killed Me, was hosted by the great people at The Legacy Bench in their beautiful studio in Manchester.

Beyond the Bruises. Simon's latest book will be available from Tuesday, 17th November 2026. Published by UK house Rayany Publishing, the work of fiction tells of Damien and Tim and follows them from childhood into their adult years, as Damien seeks forgiveness for the years of bullying, torment and violence he put Tim through.

September & October 2026 proved to be a busy time for Simon has he spoke on podcasts around the world about the journey he and Julie have found themselves on, how he overcame poor mental health and fears to go on to what he does today, and the plans the pair have for the future, including a publishing deal and the hopes they have for their film projects in 2027.

A Blast From The Past. I’ve been very lucky to be taught by some great instructors and be featured in the media.

So You Think You Know Fear? I learnt avoidance from a very early age, and it was a discovery fuelled by fear. Childlike punches and kicks, accompanied by spiteful spit, came my way from my classmates. And so, after months of enduring, I begged my father to let me move schools, and for a while there was peace. It didn’t last long.

Simon and the IRA. Some of you will know about Simon’s turbulent relationship with his father, Peter, and it largely stemmed from the man’s dishonesty and how he always seemed to put Simon in the firing line. In the early 2000s, Simon received a phone call that changed how he looked at his father, his life and his training.
